Introduction

In this game, the player takes on the role of a presidential advisor. They can choose from several different presidencies throughout history, where they will inform the president of that time on various historical issues based on the information they receive from people they interview.

Gameplay

Platforms: Android, iOS, WebGL (on website)

2D UI dialogue focused game where player acts as a presidential advisor gathering information through interviews to help the president make decisions with an evidence based approach. The player selects choices progressing through dialogue tress with the interviewees in an effort to choose questions which will lead to them receiving helpful information for selecting an informed choice to solve complex presidential issues.

My Work

Team: Producer, Game Designer, UIUX Designer/Engineer, Lead Engineer (myself), 2D Artist

We imported and retrofitted an old dialogue system from a previous game for this game’s primary dialogue system. This system was based on a Unity plugin called XNode.

We extensively created objects that worked with an in-house importing tool to easily translate content the client and designer would enter into Google Sheets into game objects with pertinent data immediately for use in the game.

I closely worked with the UIUX designer on this project to create a robust, flexible system supporting quick additions for general screen flow through the game.
