Other Projects

Listed here are some of my other notable Unity, Unreal, and Houdini projects that I worked on. They are generally focused projects on delving deeper into specific skills or concepts or varied projects that help give me another view or more general practice for development and designing.

Unity

Experimental Games Projects

Personal Game Projects

Tower Defense – Scene Management

This began as a basic tower defense tutorial I followed from Brackeys on Youtube, but I developed it further with my investigations of scene management within Unity. I wanted to test using multiple scenes at once in Unity development and creating a system that properly worked with this concept, as it can be an effective technique to group and organize assets when utilized properly.

Other Projects

Gear Mesh Creator

Using true to life gear dimensioning practices and geometry I created a tool in Unity which could create physically interactive gear meshes based on input dimensions from the user.

VR Bike – Bee

I helped with a few scripts for this project which has the player using an amusement park-like bike controller along with a VR headset to play as a bee pollinating a run down area. I created the following logic and mechanism for the bees as the player collects them, as well as the flower rendering tool from the player to lighten their load on the VR system.

Voxel Wall Creator

This was a tool I created as a middle ground between the artists and the Unity developers for a small VR project where players would try to line themselves up with the holes in the walls moving towards them. This system let users draw their image on the white UI square which would then create a replica out of the interactive cubes of the true wall. This was further developed so that it could simply take in white and black images and use the image data to create the wall directly.

Unreal

Unreal – Halo Prototype Multiplayer Map

This is a prototype Halo map I was majorly responsible for researching and designing, as well as helping build a lot of the gray box prototype step. I used AutoCAD drawing software to layout the general design before building, which can be seen in more information.

Houdini

The gallery shows a few models I constructed within Houdini. The final project shown is a water effect flower which was a more animated project, so a sample video of it in action is provided above as well.
